Jingle Jingly eve.

wow. even while watching the "3 Idiots" for the umpteenth time, i still cried and laughed like a mad woman.

heart that movie! it's so one of my favorites. cinema it twice. downloaded it. and ed bought the vcd because the downloaded ones had rubbish subtitles.

the message conveyed, how the events are intertwined, the linkativity (influence from barney xP), and even the infamous bollywood soundtracks with all the dancing and slow motion bay watch scenes that annoy me so much were great and awesome! i actually liked the songs very much, especially "give me some sunshine" and "zooby dooby" ahahaks.

while watching the movie over a lovely dinner of garlic and herb roast chicken, baked shiitake mushrooms and egg mayo sandwiches *drools*, the scene where they had their graduation was playing. the friendship shared between the 3 of them were just so amazing and it simply made me think of my own friends in college, the times we had, the thick and thin we underwent and how much i miss them.

the only picture i have with the 2 of them currently. all my graduation pictures are back in mlk *facepalm* they took the bus back with daddy. only managed this with pian's hp which he smuggled into the hall. too bad girl's formal attire come with no pockets :/

that was basically how i spent my x-mas eve. a great movie, with great food, and great people. but didnt manage to meet up with the rest of the guys after dinner because i was too tired and practically fell asleep at 9 pm. i'm such a baby.

except for the part where i had to work earlier, it's exactly as he said it. it wasn't such a bad christmas eve after all :D

Aww, you didn't have to ♥

i know, i understand,
that your work schedule is extremely tight
and you hardly ever have any time for yourself.

you've been working really hard
and i don't blame you if you do not have any time for me.
i totally understand.

you didn't have to come all the way just to surprise me you know.
i'd still love you.

.
.

he probably didn't notice the stalker taking pics of him from above.

him. exiting the building.

too many flashes in his face from where i was standing.

that's why he turned away.

he was actually looking at me :D

.
.
.

LOL. Actually, i didn't even know he was going to be there. It so happened that we went to tropicana to catch a movie after the super yummy duck rice at manjalara and saw the huge crowd gathered before the stage. It was weird for so many people to be there. Tropicana was usually peaceful and crowd-less, that was why we liked it so much. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on due to the gigantic posters and banners all around.

We were like:" ohhhhh...... Lin Jun Jie is coming.... patutla so many people here."

.
.
.

I really wonder.

Why did JJ choose the exact same day I was going to tropicana to have his autograph session there?

There's only one simple explanation.

He went there because he wanted to see me xP

hee.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back to reality.
Want an English lesson? I learnt something from the movie we watched before spying on Lin Jun Jie. Ed chose to watch "Just Call Me Nobody" because of Mark Lee and Eric Tsang. It turned out that they were only cameos. It was a little funny, but mostly dumb and boring. I'll highlight the funny part for ya k. (even though it's a lil lame)

This is how a family in ancient China teaches their children to speak English:

1. BEES; - "鼻屎" (bi shi)

2. EARTH; - "耳屎" (er shi)

3. GOES; - "狗屎" (gou shi)

4. MOUTH; - "猫屎" (mao shi)

5. KNEES; - "你死" (ni si)

6. WAS; - "我死" (wo si)

7. DOES; - "都死" (dou si)

8. ONE DOLLAR; - "完蛋了" (wan dan le)

Dumb right? LOL. for my readers who can't read chinese, pls pls pls ask someone who does to explain it to you.

till then.

generosity

remember something i said about free tickets?

well, here they are:

ray got them on they way to pick me up from school 2 weeks ago on the 2nd last day of my intern. he was stuck in the jam, got bored, sms-ed and actually won them :D

the surprise was they gave us 4 passes instead of 2 (how generous of hitz.fm) and the movie was going to start in in less than 20 minutes. the guys were having their exams tmr and wanted to study, plus i doubt that they could make it on time. so we just walked around and gave it to a random couple who were queuing up at the ticketing counter (how generous of us), and of course, they grabbed it immediately. free movie passes, who don't want woh? plus its a premiere screening, the movie not out yet woh, 3D summore woh. haha.

come to think of it, four free 3D passes, worth about rm 72. spread the generosity. and the movie was great. fresh storyline, humour, you name it. totally enjoyed it.

thank you-s to all who made it possible!

ps:/ do watch Megamind, it's out on the 4th Nov :)

short post.

just got back from e@curve, one of my all time fav places :D
caught 2 movies and i would like to say that the movie reviewers are simply too generous.

5 stars for aftershock.
4 stars for step up 3.

those stars brought my expectation so high up weii....
sad to say, it was kinda disappointing.

aftershock is ok la. but the cgs are simply far from what it should be. come on! it's 2010!
a star should be taken off there!

as for step up 3, the dancing was amazing and all but the acting and the storyline was just plain crap and rubbish. one word = lapsap! this goes out especially to the lead role Luke. anyone could have acted better than he did.
one and a half stars off for that!

and city under siege can even gain 3 and a half stars from the reviewers.
the trailer had me fooled though. regretted watching it. big time.
a lot of the scenes damn noob lohh. dialogues are super lame and u wont even know what they are trying to portray. the only plus side however was that leng lui Zhang Jingchu was in the movie, but not a main role though.
3 and a half is seriously overrating.
1 and a half is more like it lah.

Eclipse Gossips.

caught Eclipse today! wasn't expecting to, but some one LIED to his dad. he took a bath, dressed appropriately, packed his bag, brought his notes, conveniently asked for a ride, and sneaked off to the cinema instead of going for his 3.30 class like he was supposed to.

it was solely his idea! i had nothing to do with it! honestly! xD

and the movies at summit are so darn cheap. almost all the shows were priced at 7 bucks. only Eclipse and Predators were priced at 10. and it's tuesday. not wednesday! flashed our student cards and paid only 12 bucks for the both of us. freaking cheap weiii. and the best part was that it was 12 bucks for a couple seat
♥ ( you actually thought that GSC's that generous?? nah.. we ditched our actual seats, seeing that all the couple seats were empty :P )

the movie wasn't that good and we were talking throughout the entire thing.
here's part of the conversation that i find amusing. all quoted from ray.

Part 1

Ray :

  1. wow. robert pattinson with this makeup actually look quite handsome lah.
  2. i wan be vampire la. vampire handsome.
  3. bB, if i become vampire, will you still love me?

later on in the movie, Edward asked Bella to marry her. She refuses at first, and they tried to compromise by making a deal: she'll marry him, if he agrees to turn her into a vampire himself. Bella's still not satisfied and she wants to bargain some more. She wants Edward to have sex with her before marrying him. Edward turns her down, not because he's not aroused and horny and itching to pop her flower. It's because he's afraid he can't control his strength and he feels that it's too dangerous and he might end up hurting his fragile Bella badly.

Part 2

Ray :

  1. bB, I don't wanna be vampire d...
  2. vampire cannot make love...

there's also this part where Edward and Jacob took Bella up to the mountains for hiding. it was snowing and Bella was freaking cold and there was nothing that Edward could do. He couldn't hold her as his icy touch would only make her feel colder. Jacob comes in, and says my favourite line from them movie
:"lets face the fact, I'm hotter than you are." and he holds Bella to sleep while Edward watches helplessly.

Part 3

Ray :

  1. Vampire so cold one ah?
  2. The dick also cold one loh.
  3. Now i wan be werewolf d.

now i know, what's actually going through the bf's mind. u dirty minded fella :P

there were lots of other random stuff that he said which made me laugh out loud. all rather annoying but cute in a way. my love for him probably cant beat Edward's love for Bella, (come on man, he swears it for eternity and promises to love her every moment of eternity, how to beat that?) but it's somewhere close by :D

so which do you prefer anyway? xP
the pic on the left is so much better right?

overall, i already knew that the whole twilight saga is rubbish anyway, i dont drool all over Edward or fantasize bout a perfect love story like theirs but i'm still dedicated to watch it all the same.

that's all for now. till something comes up and i feel like blogging again :)

Is study week for studying?

not many people do that i guess.

we're just grateful for the fact that we don't have to attend classes! escape escape!

in fact to me, study week = holiday. yay yay :D

and i was kinda lucky that my study week strategically placed itself on the week where 2 long awaited movies were released. hee! i caught both the Man-s during the weekend. and even watched Kick-ass today.

and i'd say that Kick-ass kicked ass!

and john told ray: "don't watch it with your girl friend. regret man."

and i'd say that it was because of all the tissue in the beginning, where the guy so eagerly got caught up in a some what revolting fantasy of his English teacher :P

and, me and ray watched it together anyway.

and it so happens that tomorrow is the 1st day of my exams. it also seems that it has already become a tradition for me to go movie-ing right before my exams. it helps me score? lol. entah la... hopefully.

this goes out to all the exam takers:

"good luck peeps,

we're gonna need it."

Eye Opener

wow! seriously wow.

my 1st time watching Bollywood movie in a cinema and I was so impressed. The "3 Idiots" was simply enjoyable. it started off by making you laugh, laugh and laugh. then touching scenes will come into the picture, then you'll cry. then some random joke will be pop out and you'll laugh non stop again. two thumbs up for it!

apart from Slumdog Millionaire, this is the only other hindi movie that i've watched and it's definitely adding up to my interest towards Bollywood (:

i happened to watch it because Ray's family highly recommended this movie. his mom was forever falling asleep in the cinema regardless of how terrific the movie was.
  • cloudy with a chance of meatballs - sleep.
  • ninja assassin - sleep.
  • bodyguards and assasins - sleep.
  • avatar - sleep
there wasn't a single movie that she managed to watch from start till end without falling asleep. at least every movie that i've watched with her la. haha... and jeng jeng jeng... she miraculously stayed awake throughout the 3 hours of the 3 idiots' showtime!!!

they happened to stumble upon this movie coincidentally too. it was more of like a random outing to Cap Square because Ed had free movie passes for Cap Square's TGV and they were like going to expire in February. the thing was that the place was flooded with hindi movies and there weren't many to choose from so they settled with the 3 Idiots.

get what i mean? all hindi movies. which one will u choose if u had already watched Avatar?

watched it with daryl, rach, ed and ray.
ps:// ed watched it 3 times and he cried like a baby :D

great lesson learnt from em! when ever you're in doubt or just simply scared, put your hand on your chest and say "Aal izz well!!!"
