two hearts resting side by side
scrupulously near, yet painstakingly far
crushed by doubt
crushed by grudge
forever hold a joy unreal
yield all pains
yield all sorrows
forever knows no trust
two hearts resting side by side
one shielded, one shattered
bears no consideration
bears no forgiveness
bound to condemn and hate
full of remorse
full of despair
bound to fall apart
two hearts resting side by side
trapped in delusion
trapped in vain
search but find no way out
two hearts resting side by side
deprived of hope
deprived of faith
lost with no direction

nope! it's not Chinese New Year yet. haha. no need to panic and check your calendars. thinking that you might have missed the celebration. this is a celebration alright, just a different kind of a celebration. a celebration of love. yessss. a chinese marriage ceremony. the first time a close friend of mine got married, the first time for me as a bridesmaid, "ji mui" as the chinese call it, sister to the bride.
loved that as the "ji mui" we got to scheme and come up with ways to torture the groom and his "brothers" before he managed to come take her away. speaking of which, my Mr. R was one of the brothers. which means that he had no choice but to obey my every single order and complete all the obstacles we set out or else his buddy wouldn't have the chance to get his bride.
spot any pair of lips you wish to kiss? |
one of the challenges. only one kiss mark belonged to the bride. the rest were all made by the bridesmaids. the groom was to pick the right one. he only got 3 chances to choose. each wrong pick resulted in penalties ;D hee. the poor fella never got it. haha though it was a pair of lips he had been kissing all along.
the sweet couple and all the groom's "brothers" |
now you get the picture. definitely not CNY. sneaked a shot when they were posing for the photographer and videographer. the wedding date - 27.1.2013. so happy for them! here's wishing them a happy and blessed marriage now and always.
that's about it. the remainders of this post are just some vain pics. a must, since we don't dress up like walking angpows everyday! didn't manage to get as many as i would have liked though :/
