nope! it's not Chinese New Year yet. haha. no need to panic and check your calendars. thinking that you might have missed the celebration. this is a celebration alright, just a different kind of a celebration. a celebration of love. yessss. a chinese marriage ceremony. the first time a close friend of mine got married, the first time for me as a bridesmaid, "ji mui" as the chinese call it, sister to the bride.

loved that as the "ji mui" we got to scheme and come up with ways to torture the groom and his "brothers" before he managed to come take her away. speaking of which, my Mr. R was one of the brothers. which means that he had no choice but to obey my every single order and complete all the obstacles we set out or else his buddy wouldn't have the chance to get his bride.

one of the challenges. only one kiss mark belonged to the bride. the rest were all made by the bridesmaids. the groom was to pick the right one. he only got 3 chances to choose. each wrong pick resulted in penalties ;D hee. the poor fella never got it. haha though it was a pair of lips he had been kissing all along.

now you get the picture. definitely not CNY. sneaked a shot when they were posing for the photographer and videographer. the wedding date - 27.1.2013. so happy for them! here's wishing them a happy and blessed marriage now and always.

i am. indeed. extremely grateful and blessed to be showered with so much.

have all along been feeling the love and vibes from family and friends... and this is such a great bonus on top of it all. and no, i'm not refering to the many red packets i've received or the abundance of good food and wonderful company i've had this entire chinese new year celebration.

the men in my life splurged on me! i received 2 expensive gifts along with all the other good things going on.

and here's how i rate my Chinese proficiency:

spoken - 8/10
written - 4.5/10

yea, it's not top notch, but i'm pretty happy with it :P
i usually skip a few words here and there a lot of words while reading a paragraph but i've no problem comprehension wise. i actually do understand what i'm reading okayyy xD

as a Chinese, of course i celebrate cny. it's my all time favourite holiday :) love all the traditions, all the people, all the gatherings, all the different feelings as we welcome in the new year.

and of course this celebration comes with loads of work - cooking, baking, cleaning etc. but hey, all in all, every drop of sweat spent juggling all the work is always worth it. the fun side however is simply unbeatable. shopping, girls! having an excuse to get all kinds of outfits even though we already have wardrobes and wardrobes full of clothing. adding the umpteenth pair of shoes to our humongous collection of footwear. and probably getting a new hairdo, be it colour or curls. i haven't even mentioned the glorious glorious food that we only get this every once a year plus all the goodies and angpows ;)

i've already had a great new year's eve and am very much looking forward to tomorrow :D

hope everyone enjoys this cny weekend as much as i will !

Break.

was so glad that i got to take a break from school. ran far far away from the school @ kuchai lama and never felt so relaxed :D

so here's what i did.

1. drove to lcct to fetch my baby sis. she's on holiday too! mid sem break in ums.

2. spent 3 days and 2 nights in cameron. (also don's farewell)

3. baby sis treated me to pancakes which she had been craving for for more than a year.

5. had a picnic and flew kites.

n yeah, my posts now seem bright, bubbly and happy. they weren't so previously. way too inconsistent.

what to do... my feelings are being challenged to the max. there are stuff that can make it fly sky high. yet others can make it crawl low in the dirt. too many things happen too fast i guess. i just blab everything out. and that really makes me sound like an emo freak.

Unexpectedly.

i am all smiles today :)

i may not get what i want all the time, (material wise - the cute hot pants and to die for heels! ) i may not get my way... (ppl have different opinions and disagree with each other. plus, my way might not be the best.)

but still, i'm one pampered and spoilt brat (affection wise) ♥ ♥ ♥



recovering from a bad attack of rashes, i don't even know what caused the allergic reaction! having red blotches and rash on my arms and legs. itchy and burning. luring me to scratch and scratch and scratch em.




what i thought it could be:

but i've already had him for 6 months. only now?



body lotion?


damn it if it really is it. i just bought it and only used it once.



dust?


sobsss... hopefully not! dust is always there, it's everywhere!

i didn't consume any directly. but the doc said maybe it's in your fried kuey tiow or bee hoon. you'll never know.



cough syrup?


the first attempt to ease my cough ends up in disaster. (but the doc says it's highly unlikely)



the verdict???

doc said i could just sit there, scratch my head and think till the next morning and yet the mystery will still remain un-prevailed.

sigh... resulting in me having to pop these pills and apply this goey, yucky, foul-smelling poison on my bare skin. ergh.




went to the doctor's in the afternoon, and got an injection which is still stinging now *muka kesian*. stopped by mid valley, shopped, not for me! for shiemun!! she's starting college next week and wants a few new outfits. watched "How to Train your Dragon" and it definitely beats Alice.




hmm... do i seem like some one who has final exams tomorrow??? lol. wish me luck :)

What have you been up to?

dear blog,

i missed out several posts which i only got to type out mentally in my brain before falling asleep. wasn't really expecting myself to be so busy with so many things to do and so little time in my hands.

but for one, i'm actually glad that things have started to slow down and stopped being so hectic for me (:

this is because i'm such a big fat slacker! love having nothing to do, lazing and slacking my ass off *which is getting bigger and bigger each time they see me* - (according to my frens) ;P

i left all my responsibilities in s.a. and escaped back to mlk for cny. am sooo in love with everything that has been going on for the entire week.

New Love!

i cant say i'm totally unaffected by all the drama which has been going on. mayb it got me upset just a little. yeah. only a lil. didnt cry for long. only few tears, really! i'd gotten over it so fast and couldnt care less bout the whole darn thing anymore.


and hey, i realised i loved kicking balls! the round ones which can go flying ;)

back to the new ball, fun weih! i never tried it before this but seeing them kick it around really made me feel like playing along as well, plus it's his fav sport, the more reason for me to love it. didnt know banging balls could be so fun! and sometimes we'd play in the parking lot wit ed n sm. getting to sweat and exercise felt great. i had been inactive for so long, missed sports so much!

he thought that i was a noob and was so sure that i couldn't score any goals against him. gave me 10 shots and was so skeptical and bet that i couldn't even score 3. i did! and i scored 3 in only 5 shots. so proud of myself. *beams*

It's Hard to Say Goodbye!

felt like i abandoned my dear blog for far too long dy. selalu when something comes up i memang rasa wanna blog. but don't really have the chance to, and i end up forgetting what i initially wanted to blog about. lol.

it's 3am now... should be sleeping. but i'm in the mood for scribbling. daryl's fetching me back in about 7 hours time. packed my stuff. there's only my lappie left.

keberatan skit la wanna go back.. back to the arguments, disagreements, complaints, scoldings, headaches, sleepless nights, madness, rushing, head cracking, as well as messy and unorganized state of mind. well after typing that last sentence, i rasa keberatan BANYAK wanna go back s.a.

30 days in Mlk.

Sounds pretty much like 500 Days of Summer? The movie's kinda nice tho but this story of mine is a totally different one. i caught it while on a date with my baby. He also treated me to T.G.V. T.G.I. Fridays on the same night. I'm not sure why the special treatment that day. it could be that he wanted to cheer me up from all the exam stress i was facing. or perhaps he just wanted to make up for leaving me alone during moon-cake fest =.=”

And hey, i even got a gift! two to be exact. one of them being a softie panda which I'm hugging to sleep every night. I'm sure you’ll be asking : “why panda? why not teddy?” Well, that is another long story to tell. Hee. only i know and he knows =D

The main thing here is --- i finally made it to Mlk!!!

Set foot, i mean tyre in it about 11am yesterday and even made it to the HWC meeting on time =) crapped tonnes with the other committee members and realised that we had many datelines to meet! This only means that I'm gonna be as busy as ever...

Thanks to him for purposely fetching me back. he even LIED to me and practically forced me to accept him driving me back all the way. But I’m still very happy and grateful that he did. I hate long bus rides alone. we even got to hang out/date in Melaka which was kinda nice for a change since we usually hung out in subang n S.A.

Despite the happiness, i feel bad too cos he has to drive back alone. I’ll be worrying too much as usual. going to miss him so much. but no hal there. 30 days only. haha. we'll see each other soon enough~ absence make the heart grow fonder? we'll see =)
